Rivers Cuomo discusses the making of "The Greatest Man That Ever Lived"
(sorry it wasn't embedded in here, it wouldn't let me)
It's a long video, but he really explains on how he went about writing this song and putting it together. He uses so many pieces of paper! But he writes really good stuff. I wanna sit down with him and try to write something.
After I watched this video, I went on youtube and looked up videos on Music Theory. I know that I can't really learn, in-depth, about music theory by just watching youtube videos, but at least it gives me an introduction to the introduction of music theory..lol.
I dunno, maybe it'll prep me for my upcoming music class this semester, who knows?
So yesterday was quite the cold day. Throughout most of the day, it was about -7 most of the day. It was worse at night. It was about -11 when I arrived home from church. I like the cold weather, but even this is a bit too cold for me. Currently, it's 0! at least we're not negative anymore..for now. haha. Check out all the frost on the window from the gate/door in the photo above!

I did it!

I got my haircut! My Ate Mae did it for me yesterday. I say that she did a good job because she cut it exactly how I wanted it to be without me telling her how I wanted it to look like. I am now able to do something which I haven't done in a while, which is style my hair. I forgot how fun it was to style it. I know I'll get tired of it eventually, but it's a good change of pace from always having short hair. Yep!
Yesterday, I also sprained my ankle. It's not that bad, but eh, it's still a sprain. It happened at volleyball as I was trying to save the ball. In the process of spraining my ankle, I also burned my knees while skidding on them after my ankle took a bad turn. Never again am I wearing a pair of Nike Shox while playing sports. Never ever! Friggin piece of crap.
Oh well

I need to..
Anyways, I've been growing my hair. As you can see, the sides of my hair are getting hard for me to handle! The sides are too long and too thick for me to maintain for it to look clean. But never fear! tomorrow, I shall get my haircut! We'll see how it turns out. yay!

Negative three degrees is what
the temperature was when i woke up today.
stepped outside it felt so cold
that the nosehairs felt like frost
as i inhaled.
then came 9am.
the sun was shining bright
that if one was to peer outside,
you'd think it's perfectly fine.
despite the sun, with its rays
gleaming down brightly upon us,
that was just the facade
of how frigid this day would be.
the moment the gusts of death
grace upon your face,
you have just moments until frostbite
slowly takes over
and makes your skin want to shatter.
with temperatures so low
and wind gusts so high,
mother nature is just introducing us
to windchills
that would instill the fear in us
of actually leaving the house.
this was the first day
of subzero temperatures.
this was just the first day
of winter.

That was written about the weather yesterday. it wasn't exactly the warmest of days. I usually enjoy the cold weather, but when it gets to a point when the temperature gets under 0ยบ, I dunno, it gets hard to tolerate. Anyways, I just wrote that poem yesterday about how the weather was. It was also my first non-rhyming poem!
